As a professional landscaper, choosing the right vendor for materials is crucial to the success of my company, that is baased in Portland, Oregon. A few years ago I was frantic in trying to find a supplier who could fulfill an immediate need for 1500sq ft of sod. My vendor chose to handle a huge industrial delivery and put me on the back burner chasing a bigger fish. I’m so glad that i hung up on the other two options who placed me on hold for several minutes. So I gave up and called Far West for the first time after searching on Google.
The office manager Lynnette eased my mind immediately and treated me like I was the most important person in the world. They had the sod to me the following morning and I was extremely pleased at the quality and price (about 15-20% less than the other vendors I have used previous). For the past two years Far West Turf has been the only turf farm we order from. This year (2015) they met the demand for a huge planting project we had and my client and I are very happy with the nursery stock. While Far West Turf will deliver just about anywhere in the Portland area, I try my best to make it a point to drive out to Woodland there just to say hello to the friendly staff who really make me and my staff feel at home and for the genuine feel good knowing that despite how busy we all get from time to time, the bottom line in why we do what we do is because we love it and cherish the feeling of “family” knowing that we all support each others drive for excellence.
