Emily Mackenzie is a vigorous, free-flowering plant with extra large dark orange flowers with yellow throats each surrounded by a red ring. Plant in well-drained, rich soil in full sun. Crocosmia is distinguished by tall, sword-shaped leaves and arching stems of flowers in shades of yellow, orange and red. These blooms pop from sprays of orange buds encased in purple sheaths. The blooms attract hummingbirds and are excellent for cutting. Full to part sun in average to moist well-drained soil.
