One of the most popular and common of the sedges, Golden Japanese Sedge is most commonly used for borders planted in rows or as single landscape specimens. The long blades will arch over planter boxes if the edge of the plant is within three or four inches of the edge, which can be useful to hide drops in walls in steep landscapes.
