Buxus 'Green Velvet'
Foliage retains its rich green color throughout winter.
Common Name: Green Velvet Boxwood
The Green Velvet Boxwood is an evergreen shrub hybrid which combines the hardiness of a Korean Boxwood and the beautiful velvety deep green color of the ever popular English Boxwood. Small yellowish-green flowers bloom in the spring but are rather inconspicuous. This boxwood is tolerant of colder climates, and warmer climates with higher humidity. It will keep its deep green color throughout the year, it resists bronzing in the sun better than other boxwood varieties, and it is relatively low maintenance. The Green Velvet works great as a mid-size hedge, foundation planting, or as a single planting anywhere on the property.
